Cost of Printing
The business problem with printing is that there are both measurable and immeasurable costs. The measurable costs of printing include:
- Cost per page by device
- Cost of consumables i.e. paper, toner, staples (OEM or Vendor Brand)
- Cost of repair and/or annual maintenance contract
- Total print cost
The immeasurable costs of printing include:
- Cost of time required to print
- Cost of print device downtime
- Cost of mishaps (paper jams, misfeeds, misprints etc)
An organization goal should always be to incorporate systems, solutions and services that will reduce measurable costs and eliminate immeasurable costs.
