Multifunction Products

Multifunction Products (MFP) are also known as Multifunction Peripherals, Multifunction Printers or Multifunction Devices (MFDs). MFP devices are categorized as office document technologies which incorporate the ability to print, copy, scan, fax, FTP and in some cases email. Many MFP devices have the ability to integrate with a wide variety of desktop software and network applications such as document imaging, document routing and document management systems.

Copying

MFP copying provides features such as job pre-scan, color copy and scan-one–print-to-many. The scan-one-print-to-many functionality reduces paper waste by allowing you to scan the document only one time and produce multiple documents from that first and only scan. Printing

MFP printing benefits include lower operating costs compared to most ink-jet and laser jet printers. Higher end MFP devices use independent toner cartridges. Their scalability and time-saving finishing options such as stapling, booklet-making and three hole punch are not always available in traditional printers. read more

Scanning

MFP scanning has simplified our ability to create electronic documents from paper-based information and store them in a network folder or document management system. MFP devices can scan paper documents in both color and black and white formats. MFP faxing allows an organization to easily and permanently replace their traditional fax machines but retain stand alone fax capabilities.
