HP to Improve Customer Support Services for U.S. Federal Community Service Agency
PALO ALTO, Calif., March 8, 2011 - HP Enterprise Services today announced it has been selected by the Corporation for National and Community Services (CNCS), a federal agency that engages Americans in volunteering, to provide information technology solutions designed to improve the level of service and success of its programs.
The Consolidated Customer Support contract, sold under the U.S. General Services Administration USA Contact contract vehicle, has a one-year base period followed by four one-year option periods. The $22.5 million contract serves all CNCS volunteer service programs, including AmeriCorps, SeniorCorps and Learn & Serve.
Under the contract, HP will provide customer service innovations that enable the CNCS customer contact center to become the single point of support for all general, technical and policy inquiries. The consolidated support center will help standardize service quality levels and offer cost-efficient and user-friendly support to CNCS staff, program members, grantees and citizens looking for volunteer opportunities.
With HP’s help, CNCS will become more efficient by avoiding gaps in service, duplication of efforts and loss of valuable customer data while enabling enterprise-wide metric reporting.
